ABOUT US

Covenant Hospice is widely recognized as one of the largest and most comprehensive hospices in the nation, providing a very special kind of caring for persons with life-limiting illnesses, their families, and their loved ones. One of our primary objectives is to provide our patients the opportunity to remain in their own homes or in a homelike setting, and to maintain a strong emphasis on quality of life.

We provide our patients with a wide range of health and support service options designed to meet a variety of unique needs. Operating as an independent, unaffiliated organization, we have secured contractual arrangements with multiple hospitals, nursing facilities, adult living facilities and other organizations throughout our service areas when living at home is not possible.

BENEFITS

Some of Covenant Hospice's Employee Benefits include:
 
Life Insurance
All employees qualify for a Covenant-funded employee death benefit equal to one month's salary. Full-time staff receive what is equal to one year's salary to a maximum of $50,000 at no charge.

Health & Dental Insurance
Health insurance through Blue Cross & Blue Shield Blue Options Plan, Alabama Blue Cross Blue Shield, or Capital Health Plan HMO (Tallahassee area only) and Guardian dental insurance are available to full-time employees.

 

Paid Time Off
PTO is provided at the rate of .096 hours per hour worked to full and part-time employees for vacation, holiday, sick, and bereavement leave. Full-time employees accrue what equates to 25 days for the first year of employment.

Hospice-Funded Short Term Disability Programs
Short Term Disability pay is accrued by full-time employees at the rate of 1 eight-hour day per month.

Retirement, Disability Insurance & Other Cafeteria Plan Benefits
All employees may participate in the retirement plan by making pre-tax salary deferrals into a tax sheltered annuity managed by The Travelers. Employees who meet the employer contribution eligibility requirements will receive an employer contribution equal to 50% of each dollar that they contribute, up to 4% of pay.

Flexible Spending Accounts
Full-time employees may enroll in Healthcare and/or a Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts.
 
Education
No cost license continuing education, online modules, and advance credential assistance.
 
Employee Assistance Program
Free, confidential counseling is available to help employees and their families with personal problems.
