Job Description:

Westmont Living, Inc., a premier provider of retirement living, assisted living and dementia care is opening a brand new community in Morgan Hill, California. We are seeking a seasoned professional to help bring this community from ground breaking to fully occupied.  Westmont Living, where people come first, is not about being big, but about being good.

Westmont Living, Inc. is comprised of passionate, experienced senior housing leaders who have formed a company that focuses on what matters: resident lifestyle, convenience and bringing service to the next level.  If this sounds different, it is.  Our new community will be a "state of the art," 86 unit IL/AL/ALZ senior residence that will set the standard in the south San Jose market.

RESIDENT SERVICES DIRECTOR

This position is responsible for directing, controlling, managing, and effectively assuring that systems are in place to provide for:

  • Direct, supervise and develop and implement resident care systems
  • Interviews potential residents and families in a timely manner to allow a smooth move in to the community
  • Completes pre-placement assessments and needs and service plans; inputs obtained data into the Right Click system
  • Assures resident care and services meets acceptable standards and follows best practices
  • Creates and maintains appropriate staffing schedules at levels within budget to meet resident needs
  • Provides supervision, training, and evaluation of staff to assure proper resident care
  • Maintain regulatory compliance with all agencies
  • Assures proper documentation meets standards of practice
  • Communicates resident care needs with physicians and other health care providers and obtains medical records necessary to determine potential resident's appropriateness for community and to develop needs and service plans
  • Trains new and existing staff in regards to regulatory standards and policy and procedures, and participates in department-specific New Staff Orientation
  • Coordinates and communicates resident care needs with resident and their responsible party
  • Accessible to be on call to staff per schedule with Executive Director
  • Weekend responsibilities required
  • Cover uncovered shifts in emergency situations
  • Other duties as assigned

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and must be at least 18 years of age
  • 2-3 years supervisory or similar experience
  • Professional in appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to anticipate staffing needs
  • Ability to handle constant interruptions
  • Must be highly organized and pay great attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills in writing and verbally
  • Outstanding customer service attitude and demeanor
  • Ability to use computers with Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
  • Must have health screening and TB test results not older than 6 months or will be received within 7 days of employment
  • Must have current First Aid certification

Nursing background and/or Masters degree a plus
