Duties:

~ ONE on ONE patient care ~ Cases in Highland/Hardee counties.

Under physician's orders, and RN supervision, the Good Shepherd Hospice Continuous Care LPN is responsible for the observation of patient/family needs and providing palliative and supportive care to the patient/family unit. As outlined in the plan of care, the LPN utilizes nursing interventions and teaching skills to maximize patient comfort and to enhance the quality of life to the patient/family until. The LPN will report to the appropriate LHPC RN any change in condition of the patient or family unit. The LPN provides emotional support during times of crisis to the patient and family unit.


Qualifications:

Graduate of a school of vocational nursing.
Current licensure in the state of Florida
One year of experience in an in-patient facility (med/surg preferred).
Hospice/Home Health experience preferred
