In the exciting newly created role, the successful candidate will use strategic planning, project management expertise and marketing acumen to develop and drive implementation of key initiatives with large commercial managed care accounts in order to maximize Apria's market share, revenue, and profitability.

 

Develops strategic and tactical execution plans for key managed care initiatives and projects, including implementation of large strategic managed care agreements, market share growth/ sales penetration projects, market research / competitive intelligence projects, new product launches, and large operational projects.



  • Acts as general project manager on multiple initiatives at once to execute project plans, including interfacing with various functional departments to secure resources, ensuring key project team members are accomplishing necessary tasks on time, and ensuring project goals are met.

  • Monitors and communicates results of key projects, including designing results tracking reports, ensuring regular production of results reports, diagnosing ongoing opportunities to optimize results, communicating project performance to the working project team to drive improved results, and communicating results to executive management.

  • Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures.

  • Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor.


  • Four year college degree is required.  Preferred degree in Business, Finance, Health Administration or related degree.  Masters in Business Administration preferred. 

  • At least six years related work experience is required.

  • PMP certification or other formal project management training preferred.

  • Management consulting experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex, cross-functional projects and deliver results.

  • High attention to detail and organizational skills, combined with an ability to elevate above the details as needed to "see the big picture".

  • Demonstrated ability to listen and gather strategic project requirements, simplify complex topics, and turn strategic requirements into detailed tactical plans.

  • Strong oral and written communications skills and demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels of an organization and across functions.

  • Strategic thinking skills, financial acumen, marketing or product development skills, market research, and training skills preferred.

  • Political acumen, including demonstrated ability to influence people to get things done (even without direct line of authority), negotiation skills, ability to deal with conflict, and ability to work in teams.

  • Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and come up to speed on a project.
