Position Description

At Suncoast Hospice, the Pharmacist is responsible for the compounding, preparing, packaging, dispensing, distribution, monitoring, and control of all drugs.  In addition, the Pharmacist provides drug information and supervises technicians.

Core pharmacy services are provided Monday through Friday (8am - 8pm), Saturday (9am - 7pm), and Sunday (11am - 5pm).

The successful candidate may work up to forty (40) hours per week for the first three months following hire and then continue on as needed.

Position Requirements

1. Active Florida pharmacist license.
2. Professional interaction skills with medical, nursing, and ancillary staffs.
3. Able to supervise technician and volunteers.
4. Basic computer knowledge.
5. Excellent telephone manners.
6. Supports Hospice philosophy and objectives.
7. Able to lift light loads and has good eye-hand coordination.
8. Sterile product experience.
9. Retail/outpatient experience.
