Job Description: 

 This position is responsible for providing clinical support to disease management programs designed to encourage appropriate utilization of the pharmacy and medical benefit. This position is also responsible for the oversight of the disease specific drug care management process, which includes the review of the initial prior authorization, re-authorization, and the care management of the member’s specific disease state. Also responsible for supporting the development and implementation of medical policy and care management policy for disease specific drugs.

Job-Specific Requirements:
 
·         Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
·         RN licensure that is unrestricted in the state of Mississippi.
·         At least three years of healthcare clinical experience required. Disease management experience preferred.
·         Excellent oral and written communication skills.
·         Proven communication skills demonstrated by a quick and analytical thought process with a superior ability to verbalize in a tactful and persuasive manner is required. 
·         Ability to document and organize work product to demonstrate conformance with corporate or regulatory requirements.
·         Excellent planning, problem solving, and analytical required.
·         Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships to encourage trust and open communication.
·         Must have the ability to handle information of a confidential nature.
·         Knowledge CPT, HCPCS ICD9 coding and prescription changes is desired.
