  • Consistently and genuinely demonstrate the STARS principles of Service, Teamwork, Action, Reputation and Success in all activities and interactions.

  • Performs and/or supervises the accurate delivery of medications to residents; including ensuring proper storage, distribution, re-ordering and discontinuation of medication(s).

  • Monitors and properly documents status of residents who self medicate, maintaining a daily communication log.

  • Interacts with the resident’s physician, pharmacist and medical personnel as needed.

  • Performs/assists in the process of ordering and refilling med cart with medications and supplies.

  • Follows the guidelines as outlined in the Resident Care Plan; assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene, and mobility.

  • Assists residents with oxygen, osmotic, and other medical treatments as outlined in the Resident Care Plan.

  • Assists with serving meals and bussing tables as needed.

  • Provides one-on-one support/visitation to assigned residents.

  • Responds to resident emergencies; provide first-aid assistance and arrange for appropriate medical attention and follow-up.

  • Maintains efficient and appropriate communication with residents, family members, guests and associates.

  • Participates in and attends all in-service training and education programs as scheduled.

  • Other duties as assigned.




  • Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Manages Resident Assistant associates.
  • Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the property and relevant business development initiatives. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with BVSL policies and applicable laws.
    Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


  • AA Degree from an accredited school of nursing.

  • Current and active state appropriate LPN or RN license.

  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong customer orientation to older adults.

  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.

  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm and energy.
