Responsibilities

What you would be doing:

• Creating and designing of the monthly activity calendar and newsletter
• Creating and designing invitations, announcements and postings to attract residents to participate in the events
• Develop activities which offer opportunity for physical movement such as chair exercise, bowling, active games, etc
• Cultivate leisure time activities such as games, arts, crafts, movies, etc
• Help coordinate in-house special events open to families and friends (special parties, holiday meals, etc)
• Decorate facility with monthly or seasonal themes
• Maintain community photo albums or scrapbook

Qualifications

What are we looking for?

• Experience working with seniors and the ability to encourage the residents to participate in the programs
• Creativity, effective communication and interpersonal skills, time management and organizational skills are required
• Highly organized and creative individual who enjoys working with seniors and has successful experience motivating the residents to participate in the activities
• Talented professionals who like to participate in the activities they plan and have an energetic and enthusiastic style
• Works well independently, meeting time restrictions and deadlines
• Previous experience in health and social services field a plus
