Responsibilities We are currently seeking an experienced Life Guidance Director to join our team at Atria Marina Place located in North Quincy, MA. The primary job function of the Life Guidance Director is to manage our dementia program and oversee care for residents in our Dementia unit.

Scope of Responsibilities Include:
- Assessments of existing and potential residents
- Develop care plans and educate family members on the components of our program
- Help our new residents to assimilate into our program and work with our existing residents on an ongoing basis while communicating regularly with their family members Qualifications Requirements Include:
- A degree in a related (social services, behavioral health, therapeutic recreation, nursing) field preferred.
- Two to four years experience in caring for people with dementia.
- Experience developing and facilitating activity programs as a manager with a specialized dementia program is preferred.
- Knowledgeable about the disease process, the changes associated with dementia illness, how changes affect the individual's ability to function and the adaptive strategies that help maintain a resident's abilities.
- Staff management and supervisory experience
- Budget experience
- Excellent people skills, able to maintain positive relationships with residents, families and physicians
- Good verbal and written communications skills
