Responsibilities

This is a working Director position performing all of the duties of an RN or LPN while managing the staff and ensuring that the care is provided in compliance with all applicable regulations and laws. Responsibilities include the ability to oversee and direct the programs and staff for the following services at an independent and assisted living community:

• Personal Care & Homemaker Services
• Skilled Nursing Services
• Therapy Services
• Medication Management Services
• Medical Equipment and Supplies

Qualifications

As Director of Wellness you must have the ability to manage these clinical products through effective case management and by maintaining a well informed and trained workforce. You must also have the ability to achieve quality patient care through planning, supervision, counseling and evaluating the clinical and ancillary staff. Fiscal responsibilities include preparation and management of the budget. Also, the ability to take responsibility of the community in the absence of the Executive Director or Administrator.

Preferred Skills:
• Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing, either as an LPN or RN
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience within the last 36 months with experience in home health or public health nursing
• 1 year of supervisory or administrative experience
• Knowledge of State, federal and local rules that govern home health agencies and assisted living facilities.
