FULL-TIME PHYSICAL THERAPIST needed for North County San Diego , CA .
AccentCare, a national home healthcare industry leader, is now hiring for a (full-time) PHYSICAL THERAPIST for North County San Diego, CA.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Staff Therapist is responsible for providing evaluation and treatment to patients, functioning as a member of the interdisciplinary team, providing patient and family education and counseling regarding concerns, planning, implementing and modifying treatment procedures, maintaining appropriate documentation according to policies and procedures and current standards of practice. This position manages a caseload in accordance with agency productivity standards, attends and participates in in-patient and other conferences and agency in-services, as assigned. This position also assists in the supervision of Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA), Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs), Students, and Interns as assigned. Additional duties include scheduling patients and staff, participation in discipline specific projects such as chart audits, QI data collection, peer review program, student program, and CHHA training. This position provides direct patient care.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a Bachelor of Science from a school of Physical Therapy accredited by the Commission on Accreditation on Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE), a current State licensure and have the ability to function independently, to work effectively with and relate to patients family, personnel and outside agencies. One year of experience preferred as a licensed Physical Therapist. Must be CPR certified. Must possess a valid California driver’s license and show proof of auto insurance and registration.
