    The selected candidate will assume responsibility for the development of materials and presentations of home health agency services to physicians, facilities and individuals. Qualifications include a degree in communications, education, sales, marketing or general business or nursing; a bachelor's degree is preferred, along with a minimum of two years of proven experience in community education, liaison or outreach. Excellent knowledge of home health industry regulations and trends and familiarity with the community and the county, especially the home health care community, required. In addition, candidates must possess a professional style/appearance, excellent interpersonal skills with ease of communication, be likeable and very honest and able to do relationship marketing. Outstanding organizational, follow-up, follow-through and listening skills essential, along with the ability to gather the information necessary to pre-qualify a physician as a key target
    .

    PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION OF JOB FUNCTION
    Responsible for development of explanatory materials and effective presentations of agency services to physicians, facilities and individuals who may be in need of knowing about home care in general and our agency's services now and / or in the future.

    Establishes relationships and efficient communication linkages with referral sources in the Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties so they can assess, have a good knowledge of, and sensitivity to, home care needs, services and care coordination of, and for, their clients or patients.

    Requires an individual with experience in presenting a comprehensive, accurate and effective picture of the organization. Will develop a proven track record in effectively informing and educating outside parties about the organization's home health or related services. Such track record shall include data on the growth of the organization's referral base.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    70%  Manages and assigned geographic area that shows solid results from community education, presentations and outreach in the growth in the number of referrals in any given month. Such numbers shall be mutually set by Administrator and community liaison team based on current data trends. Performs community education, liaison and outreach activities with referral sources to ensure on-going awareness of our agency's services by such individuals. Constantly expands the referral sources and prospects who receive education on the benefits of our home health agency's services and our agency liaison interface.

    20% Develops effective programs designed at improving other team members' understanding of the community education, liaison and outreach process.

    10% Participates in other outreach activities such as event planning as needed. Such activities shall not supersede this position's core community education, liaison and outreach activities designed to increase the members in our community who are educated about home care and about our agency's superior services.

    ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, SKILLS AND ENVIRONMENT
    Education and Work Experience:
    Degree in communication, education, sales, marketing or general business or nursing degree. Bachelor's degree is preferred. A minimum of two years of proven experience community education, liaison or outreach required.(preferred)

    Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
    Excellent knowledge of the home health industry regulations and trends.
    Superior communication skills in a home health care environment.
    Ability to create effective written, audio and slide presentations about home care and our agency's services.
    Excellent time management, decision-making, human relations, presentation and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize functions and activities in order to achieve agency goals.
    Knowledge of current software programs that enhance the development and management of data that indicates which members in the community are most appropriate for our education, liaison and outreach efforts.
    Professional appearance and presentation required.
