AccentCare is NOW HIRING for an OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST in our Home Health division in El Centro , CA .

 

POSITION SUMMARY:   The Staff Therapist is responsible for providing evaluation and treatment to patients, functioning as a member of the interdisciplinary team, providing patient and family education and counseling regarding concerns, planning, implementing and modifying treatment procedures, maintaining appropriate documentation according to policies and procedures and current standards of practice.    This position manages a caseload in accordance with agency company productivity standards, attends and participates in in-patient and other conferences and agency in-services, as assigned.    This position also assists in the supervision of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) and Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs), as assigned.    Additional duties include scheduling patients and staff, participation in discipline specific projects such as chart audits, QI data collection, and CHHA training.    This position provides direct patient care.

 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:   This position requires a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school, a current California State licensure and the ability to function independently, to work effectively with and relate to patients, patients’ families, personnel and outside agencies.    One year work experience preferred as a licensed Occupational Therapist.   Must be CPR certified.    Must possess a valid California driver’s license and show proof of auto insurance and registration.
