Summary: This position is responsible for sales related activities for assisted living and skilled nursing levels of care and for the implementation of the sales efforts outlined in the community's marketing plan. This position also assists residents to maintain an active, meaningful, and safe lifestyle while they age in place. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in social work or business/marketing and/or commensurate experience in marketing/sales of health services • Nursing degree preferred, but not required • Knowledge of LTC skilled nursing, hospital or related healthcare admission criteria • Excellent speaking, writing, and sales skills • Self-motivation to work independently and as a team member • Advanced knowledge of computers and the Internet • Database experience • Advanced knowledge of computers and the Internet KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: In addition to the above minimum qualifications, this position will also possess demonstrated skills and ability to effectively present information to management, and public groups; the ability to deal effectively with personnel, residents, customers, visitors, and the general public, and the ability to implement and interpret programs, goals objectives, policies, and procedures. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Is a living example of the Lutheran Senior Services Core Values • Works to fulfill the marketing objectives of the community • Meets, interviews, tours, and markets to potential residents and/or their support networks • Acts as a resource for integrated communications and pricing strategies • Actively networks to obtain lead referrals • Develops and maintains relationships with community contacts and resources • Tracks appropriate information in the database throughout the sales process • Tracks available inventory • Implements, maintains, and promotes a waiting list as appropriate • Maintains an appropriate marketing environment • Participates in training that is offered and provided • Performs annual Senior Life Steps evaluation for independent living residents within the CCRC community • Uses data from the evaluation to determine programs and services that would be beneficial for the resident and discusses these options with the resident • With agreement from the resident makes referrals to and/or coordinates with those programs and services to initiate service as desired • Collaborates with service providers to educate residents about programs and services that are available and in the coordination of services • Visits or communicates with residents who go to the hospital to assist them in securing services they may need upon return to their home • Collaborates with community social worker, other members of the team, residents, and families (as appropriate) for transition of care needs. • Tracks annual evaluations and submits appropriate reports • Other duties as assigned PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: At a minimum, the physical capacity to perform job functions that include physical mobility, sitting, hearing, seeing, and talking.
