Rydal Park, a continuing care retirement community located in Jenkintown, PA has a new opportunity for a Community Technology Facilitator

 

Conducts computer trainings for all Rydal Park residents in the Resident Computer Lab as well as the Resident Library. Maintains and helps support operations of all technology at Rydal Park while providing exceptional customer service in support of Presby’s Service from the Heart.    

 

 

Essential Duties

 

  • Develop a plan and schedule of classes for the resident computer lab based on resident needs and skill sets.
  • Implement schedule of classes and evaluate classes on an on-going basis.
  • Assists with coordination and training of Core Application replacement project. Will act as Rydal’s Super user for new training system by assisting all staff with any training needs or questions they may have during the transition phase. .
  • Maintains, runs reports, troubleshoots and coordinates training for the Care Tracker / Charge Tracker systems.
  • Responsible for maintaining the Nurse Call Systems including repairs, reports, adding and troubleshooting SIP phones and redesigning call trees as needed.
  • Maintains the Rydal Park employee training lab and related equipment.
  • Responsible for oversight of the Pharmacy System, including troubleshooting laptops and printers. Reports any issues timely.
  • Provides oversight and maintenance of the copiers, scanners and printer supplies. Primary contact for service, repairs and supplies. Works with Prelude to troubleshoot any problems with peripheral equipment.  
  • Maintains the Uniflow system so that all team members are assigned PIN numbers permissions based on their job titles. Also monitors and reports on printing usage to department heads.
  • Maintains the Touchtown In house TV and Digital Signs.  
  • Assists with the install of any new   Morrison POS kiosks. Installs anti-virus software for all newly acquired POS equipment. Troubleshoots network issues with Horizon.
  • Acts as the community ISSR issuer. Makes requests timely and ensures appropriate setup of new users for Rydal Park.
  • Acts as facility on site Point of Contact for all technology vendors including but not limited to Prelude Services, Cerner, Comcast, Touchtown, Health Sense, Millennium, etc. for the purpose of troubleshooting any technology related issues.
  • Maintains calendars and meeting rooms in public folders for all of Rydal Park.
  • Education/Training:   Degree or certification in education, computer technology, or related field, or commensurate experience.

     

    Skill(s):   Practical knowledge and experience with Windows based network. Excellent PC computer skills and an ability to explain basic and intermediate technology related concepts to novice users that includes residents and team members at Rydal Park. Basic knowledge of networking and wifi protocol.

     

    Experience:   Prior experience teaching basic computer skills in a Health Care Setting
