Job Summary

Performs the general operating maintenance, service, and repair of the interior and exterior of the communities.

Essential Functions

* Maintains scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on, but not limited to: H.V.A.C., elevator, fire and sprinkler equipment, generator, landscape, kitchen equipment, and emergency pull cord equipment.
* Responds to maintenance requests by residents for items needing repair in their rooms, including repairing plumbing, electrical, heating and replacing light bulbs.
* Repairs and maintains vacated rooms in a timely manner. This includes painting and cleaning carpets.
*Assures that walls, floor coverings, doors, and woodwork in the common areas of the community are properly maintained.

We seek the following qualifications:

  • Experience with working in senior living and/or apartment buildings related to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, &/or appliance work is required.
  • Valid State driver's license
  • Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing knowledge
  • Must have prior painting experience and has worked in a multi-unit building doing routine repair and maintenance
  • HVAC or other specialty certifications is preferred but not required.
