Market the attributes of the Specialty Pharmacy organization to Pharma/Biotech manufacturers, Pharma Consultants and Reimbursement HUBs.  Researching the Pharma and Biotech industry to determine new products potentially coming to market, new indications for currently marketed products, and manufacturers considering or willing to open their networks.  Respond to Pharma RFPs regarding access to limited distributed drugs. 

 


WILL TRAVEL NATIONALLY APPROXIMATELY 50% OF THE TIME.


 

Essential Functions:



  • Establish and maintain strong, professional relationships with key personnel at client companies and with key decision makers at account.

  • Research new business opportunities and network with Pharma/Biotech manufacturers to create interest in Wellcare Specialty Pharmacy services.

  • Develop Wellcare Specialty Pharmacy presentation and present to potential Pharma/Biotech manufacturer clients.

  • Work closely with internal Wellcare departments to assure updated information provided to clients and manufacturer data reports are accurate.

  • Assist with development of Implementation Team for new client program implementation (Intake, Benefit Investigation, Reimbursement, Pharmacy, IT, Clinical, etc.)

  • Serve as the Wellcare team lead for implementing new client programs.

  • Serve as the key contact between client and Wellcare.

  • Provide client insight and understanding to Wellcare management team.

  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, new developments, competitive intelligence, and feedback gathered through field activities.

  • Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews with clients.

  • Participate in marketing events such as trade shows, etc.

  • Identify and resolve client issues.

  • Proactively contribute to and participate in Wellcare team meetings


 

Education:  A Bachelor's Degree in business or directly related equivalent work experience.  

 

Experience: 


 

•7 years in Trade relationships/sales, pharmaceutical manufacturer sales, physician sales, specialty pharmacy sales

•Thorough understanding of the specialty pharmacy industry, clinical trial protocols and the decision-making process of pharma/biotech companies.

•Ability to perform competent negotiations and strategy development.

•Experience with pharma pipeline analysis.

•Ability to plan, organize and adapt.

•Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills.

•Ability to advise and train clients.

•Ability to work individually or as part of a team.

•Ability to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities.

•Ability to work calm under pressure

•Strong power point and presentation skills.

•Strong pipeline of network/industry contacts.

 

Technical skills:  Intermediate or stronger skill level with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
