We are currently hiring for the following position: Assisted Living DirectorThe Assisted Living Director ( ALD) is an integral member of the community management team, taking primary responsibility for the Care Staff and their performance. The ALD supports the Executive Director in the management of resident care as well as budget development and implementation of cost controls. He/she works with the Health Services Director ( Nurse) in the resident assessment/service planning process and has accountability for establishing assignments for Care Staff and for their hiring, orientation and retention. Hire, schedule, supervise and direct the Care Staff. Work with the Health Services Director to ensure that resident needs are being met. Serve on management team to promote Optimal Living concept in all resident services. General accountabilities:· Provide for the daily physical care of residents. · Provide an environment that enhances the psychological well being of residents. · Responsible for the initial and ongoing assessment of a resident’s health status and care needs. · Generate revenue for care services provided to residents. Ensure residents are properly billed for the level of care provided. · Oversee the personal care of residents at the community. Supervisesthe care staff-hiring, training, scheduling, and job performance. · Contact families regarding changes in care. · Ensure changes in a resident’s condition are reflected in the care provided. Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications: · 1 year minimum experience in managing people. Management of paraprofessionals preferred · 1 year experience working with older adults, preferably in providing some personal care · Ability to use computers and software applications including Word and Excel · Demonstrated competence in business ( budget management experience) · Knowledge of healthcare, dementia care and/or aging issues · Skilled at establishing trust relationships with customers · Degree in related field preferred
