Provides strategic HR leadership to Senior Leaders across business functions and locations.  Supports senior clients in the areas of organizational design, process improvement, talent development/assimilation, associate engagement and performance management and employee relations.  Partners with HR colleagues in compensation, payroll, benefits, HRIS and recruiting to effectively support business initiatives. Leads, coaches and mentors a team of HR professionals.      

 

Essential Functions:



  • Develops strong effective relationships with Senior Leaders in order to provide assistance, interpretation, guidance, and consultation on Human Resources policies, programs, practices and organizational design.

  • Demonstrates sound business acumen and applies knowledge of business drivers/strategy to develop and execute appropriate HR initiatives aligned with business objectives.  Clearly defines measures of success/relevant metrics/ROI to support implementing business initiatives. 

  • Partners with senior leaders to evaluate organization effectiveness opportunities and drives execution of  change management plans.

  • Supports clients with execution of annual pay for performance review process through ensuring appropriate performance/compensation differentiation and driving effective communication and training related to all aspects of the performance review/compensation process.

  • Balances employee advocacy and business needs appropriately.  Makes data-driven recommendations to clients based on past practices, subject matter expertise, application of relevant employment laws, and perceived business risks.

  • Works closely with senior clients and legal department to resolve high-level employee relations investigations.

  • Provides organizational development support to senior clients related to talent identification, leadership development, succession planning, career development and executive coaching.

  • Plays key role in working with senior clients to develop appropriate strategies/initiatives to support associate retention, engagement and recognition.

  • Leads HR project teams to support initiatives with enterprise-wide impact.  Leverages process improvement and change leadership tools to effectively contribute to results and outcomes of project.

  • Coaches and develops direct reports to achieve their potential and accomplish their goals.

  • Performs special projects as assigned.



 

Education:  A Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or equivalent work experience; Master's degree and/or SHRM certification preferred.                      

 

Experience:  10 years of broad-based HR generalist experience.  Five years of management experience.
