Job Description:  JOB SUMMARY

Performs housekeeping and cleaning activities in assigned areas according to established standards. Supportive of Village mission and values.


·Cleans VCC resident rooms, baths, laboratories, offices, halls and other areas.
•Washes beds and mattresses, as scheduled and after dismissal of patients.
•Keeps utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition.
•Replaces soiled drapes and cubicle curtains.
•May disinfect and sterilize equipment and supplies using germicides. replenishes supplies.
•Moves furniture, hangs drapes and rolls entry mats.
•Works as or covers in laundry.
•Uses cleaning supplies and cleaning carts.
•Uses a mop and bucket.


Requirements ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS ·Must have ability to follow instructions. ·Must have excellent time management skills. ·Must have multitasking abilities. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Finger Dexterity Hand / Eye Coordination Color Discrimination Manual Dexterity Tolerance to prolonged standing, squatting, crouching stooping, kneeling or other awkward positions. Tolerance to odors, dust, and poor ventilation. Standing 4 hours without a break. Pushing / Pull 100 lbs. X 100 ft. Carry 25 lbs. 100 ft. Lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist. Reach overhead to 80 inches. Crawl 50 ft. Climb 4 rungs on a stepladder. Grip strength of 65# Bilaterally.
