Ballard Rehab is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant ( COTA) to join our team. The COTA provides occupational therapy services to patients including assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, related documentation, and communication. Functions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist as prescribed by the state practice acts. Reports to the Therapy Manager or Director of Rehabilitation Services ( DRS).
Qualifications:
Associate Degree from a COTA accredited program.
No previous experience required, however, one ( 1) year of appropriate supervised experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant is preferred.
Ability to work independently and effectively as a member of the interdisciplinary team. Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills to interact with physicians, patient/caregivers, ancillary staff, vendors, and outside agencies. Demonstrates maturity, flexibility and personal integrity in problem solving and conflict resolution. Must be willing to assist in carrying out the objectives of the facility. May be required to work in other departments within clinical services as the census fluctuates.
Must possess current California license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or eligibility for California license, and current CPR card.
