Vibra Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our expanding nursing team. This position is for our LTAC/HOU and is on Night Shift. The HOU ( high observation unit) provides ICU level of care. Responsibilities Include: The comprehensive assessment of patient/family needs in order to determine the nursing services required. Understands and integrates the needs of adult and geriatric patients in the delivery of nursing care. Responsible for managing and providing direct care for assigned patients. Supervises personnel ( licensed practical nurses, CNAs, TeleTechs, Unit Secretaries) providing delegated aspects of care. The RN is responsible for the management of patient activities, while monitoring the quality of care for his/her shift. Serves as a liaison to keep the Director of Nursing and/or Nursing Supervisor aware of major occurrences and needs of the program.
Minimum Qualifications: -Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. -Current RN license in the State of Colorado.
-1 year med/surg or tele experience required, ICU experience is preferred. -American Heart Association BLS for the Healthcare Provider and ACLS Certifications are required and current. -Ability to read and interpret EKGs.
-Observation, listening, verbalization and negotiating skills. Use of proper body mechanics. Fluent in both written and verbal English
