Job Description:  LaSalette Health and Rehabilitation Center, a 116 bed skilled nursing facility (owned and operated by Five Star Quality Care) is  seeking a Staff Development Director. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: orientation, training, developing and evaluating employee programs.  Additional responsibilities may include - written and oral reports/recommendations to the Director of Nursing or Executive Director concerning in-service training programs, directs & schedules refresher training as necessary for assigned staff and licensed professional personnel, plans, schedules and posts a monthly calendar of educational programs, creates lesson plans containing objectives, course content, method of instruction and evaluations, maintains current knowledge of facility practice guidelines and state/federal regulations.  This position will also assist in supervising the CNA Staff on a daily basis. 
Candidate must have excellent organizational skills and strong communication skills.  Qualified candidates must have at least on year in long term care.  CA - RN or LVN license required with Associates Degree along with 2+ years experience in a skilled nursing environment.

Required Experience Current license, preferably with experience in long term care or geriatric nursing, and current CPR certification.
