Position Summary:
Supervises and coordinates patient care and ancillary staff to ensure care delivery twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week for the Haven Hospice inpatient care center.
Responsibilities:
  • Scheduling staff.
  • Development of policies and procedures and working with the entire Haven Hospice organization for the benefit of the patients in the inpatient care center setting.
  • Works collaboratively with other departments to identify, implement, integrate and coordinate strategic initiatives.
  • Develops and administers department annual budget.
  • Supervises and evaluates department personnel.
Requirements:
  • RN with BSN preferred
  • 3-5 years supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare setting with oncology, hospice, or home care experience.
  • Experience with hiring, firing and performance evaluations preferred.
  • Must be skilled in coordinating an interdisciplinary team concept of care and have excellent interpersonal, communication and managerial skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work non-judgmentally with persons of varied cultural, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds and lifestyles.
