$35,000 base salary plus commission

Account Executive will market and sell PharMerica's products and services to area nursing home and assisted living prospects to meet or exceed individual sales plan targets as well as maintain current accounts for our Nebraska/South Dakota market.  The ideal candidate would be located in Omaha, NE.  This person should be organized, a relationship builder, exhibit a professional appearance and have strong communication skills.  There will be some overnight travel.


Essential Functions:
• The Account Executive reports to the Regional Director of  Sales (RDS) and under the guidance of the RDS work with the Sales Administration and Pricing Teams in evaluating and qualifying new business opportunities as to profitability and strategic impact on the servicing pharmacy and the region in order to achieve annual revenue goals.
• Works under the guidance of the Regional Director of Sales in identifying business opportunities through sales calls, referrals, marketing information and the Oracle CRM database
• Works with Regional Director of Sales and local Pharmacy Director in finalizing contracting, coordinating startup of new account and transitioning account services to pharmacy operations, upon obtaining service commitment from client.
• Works with Regional Director of Sales to utilize marketing segmentation information in developing strategic territory plans and executes those plans to budget time effectively and target high potential prospective customers.
• Completes sales, reporting and contracting for new business and other administrative procedures as determined by the RDS in a timely and accurate manner.
• Successfully completes all components of sales training including basic selling skills, nursing home environment and regulatory issues, pharmacy operations, product knowledge, CRM database and joint field travel with Consultant Pharmacists, account managers and experienced Account Executives.
• Successfully transfers training into competent sales performance.
• Communicates with other pharmacy team members (Account Manager, consultant pharmacist, pharmacy staff) to uncover leads, and share customer service concerns.
• Participates in local, state and national industry trade shows as required to grow area of responsibility.
