The Senior QA Analyst performs functional system/integrated testing of software delivered from Applications Development and/or external vendors.  

 

Essential Functions:


  • Works with the Business Analyst to interpret test needs as requirements are being developed and ensures standard of testing supports business needs

  • Contributes and adheres to Requirements Tractability Matrix ensuring quality delivery

  • Works with application programmers to resolve defects identified during the system test

  • Creates Test Cases, Test Scenarios and Scripts in support of business functional requirements and in a reusable state

  • Executes each script to identify defects prior to delivery of software in a production environment

  • Assists in capturing and documentation of metrics in support of software testing

  • Assigns severity levels to each test issue discovered during the test cycle

  • Provides support for User Acceptance Testing

  • Tests data to ensure it complies with specifications and presents sound recommendations through thorough analysis

  • Performs System Integration, Regression and Security Testing

Education/Experience:


  • Associate's Degree from an accredited college, university, or technical school in information systems or information technology or related testing experience

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in information systems or information technology or related field, preferred

  • 5 years software testing experience

  • Project Life-Cycle experience


 



Computer Skills:


  • SQL

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Visio, Access

  • Automated Test tool experience, preferred

  • Knowledge of the full software development life cycle
