Job Description:  The Certified Nursing Assistant Special Care provides assistance, supervision and services to residents with dementia to support their highest level of functioning. Will act under the supervision of a charge nurse or CMT. Provides assistance to residents of ADL and IADL cuing activities such as dressing, bathing, grooming, eating, etc. Ensures residents are accounted for and reside in a safe environment. Monitors the location of residents on the unit, monitors doors and alarm systems, identifies, reports and helps to correct unsafe conditions. Requirements

Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, must have successfully completed a certified nursing assistant course approved by the Missouri Division of Aging, and a current MO Certified Nursing Assistant certification. Two – Three (2-3) years of experience working in an Alzheimer’s or other dementia care setting is preferred. Must have a current Food Handlers permit. Must be able to do heavy lifting. Must have excellent social, organizational and problem solving skills. Must have ability to follow instructions, have excellent time management, multitasking, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

MUST WORK THE FOLLOWING SCHEDULE:

Sun/Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri - Tues/Wed/Thurs/Sat

2:30p-10:30p
