Position Summary
Supervises and coordinates activities of nursing personnel engaged in nursing services to ensure resident’s needs are met in accordance with professional standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines.
General Duties include: 1.) Balances the CNA/Nursing employees for each shift to ensure that routine nursing care is provided to meet the daily nursing care needs of the residents. Assures PPD requirements are met. Notifies Administration as required; 2.) Makes rounds during shift of the nursing service department to ensure compliance with acceptable nursing standards; 3.) Assesses and/or resolves concerns/complaints from residents, visitors and/or staff members and report accurately the disposition to DON/designee; 4.) Ensures that all abnormal events are documented and interventions put in place to prevent reoccurrence; 5.) Reports concerns and changes to the DON, RN, and Administrator as needed; and 6.) Oversees the admission/ discharge process as a clinical resource person.?
Position Qualifications
Education: Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
Licensure: Registered Nurse in the State of FL.
Experience: 2 year(s) of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related health care facility preferred.
