Job Description: 

Schedule: 7:00am - 7:00pm Shift: Days

Position Requirements: Current listing with the Nurse Aide Registry at the NC Division of Facility Services and meets the requirements established by the NC Board of Nursing as defined in 21 NCAC 36.0405. One year of healthcare experience preferred. Current CPR certification. Exhibits professional attitude and excellent customer service skills. Ability to work effectively and respectfully as a member of an interdisciplinary team as well as independently.

Position Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment for the patient. Develop understanding of stages of death and dying and how that may affect interaction with patients and families. Coordinate care with supervisor(s) and other members of the interdisciplinary team. Maintain accurate and up-to-date recording and charting as required and in accordance with agency, state, federal and accreditation standards. Perform non - patient care duties/tasks as needed/assigned. Attend and complete required competencies and educational programs. Adherence to agency compliance policy. Perform delegated procedures and duties listed by the NC Board of Nursing for NAI. Provide Personal Care (ADL) including bathing, bed making, dressing and undressing, mouth care, skin care, hair care, nail care, and elimination. Prepare patients for mealtime, feed patients, intake and output, force and restrict fluids. Provide safety and special procedures including vital signs, respirations, and apply and remove EKG monitor leads. Focus on customer service and patient satisfaction when providing care. Complete cleaning assignments in a timely manner including stocking NA closets on Tuesday nights and as needed. Maintains confidentiality at all times. Represent the agency in an appropriate manner. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or CEO.
