Silverado Senior Living – Cypresswood is seeking a Culinary Aide at our community in Houston to assist as needed with food preparation and washing dishes.  This position will include varying weekday and weekend shifts. 
 
The general responsibilities will include:
  • Assist with food preparation
  • Clean kitchen and dining area
  • Fill chemical dispensers of dish machine and loads machine with dishes
  • Mop all dietary floors
  • Stock supplies, meats and groceries
  • Communicate with residents as well as record and maintain tray cards and dietary labels
 
Candidate of choice should have the following skills and background:
  • At least one year of culinary experience
  • Open flexibility to work varying hours
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
  • Passion for working with the elderly
  • Able to pass a drug screen, physical and background check
