At Silverado Senior Living - Cypresswood, we are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team and lead the maintenance efforts at our Assisted Living community in Houston. This will be a management role but will also include regular hands-on work.
 
General responsibilities include:
  • Provide direct supervision to community Housekeepers, Laundry Aides, and Janitor/Maintenance personnel.
  • Perform routine environmental maintenance to ensure equipment and structure is in good state of repair and in working order.
  • Negotiate and coordinate with vendors to order supplies and coordinate contracted services.
  • Maintain communication with the department of Social Services Evaluators, State Fire Marshall, etc., in response to survey inquiries and other regulatory requirements.
 
Ideal candidate background includes:
  • Hands-on knowledge of plumbing, electrical and mechanical repairs, general maintenance procedures, laundry operations and housekeeping procedures.
  • Maintenance experience in a hospital, institution, assisted living, or related living setting is greatly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish.
