Position Description

The Children’s Support Services Counselor is a qualified counselor and/or social worker who is responsible for assessing and intervening in social and emotional factors related to care in those families where either the patient is a child or a member of the dying patient’s family. The Children’s Services Counselor will also provide consultation to outside agencies and short-term counseling with families not participating in the Hospice Program.

The will work four, ten-hour days, Tuesday through Friday.

Position Requirements

1. Master's degree in Social Work or an allied field from an accredited school.
2. Minimum two (2) years paid experience in social work and/or counseling with emphasis on counseling children and families.
3. Licensed in the State of Florida or Registered Intern.
